The Senate moved closer to ending the shutdown by approving a measure to advance the federal funding bill. Eight Democratic senators including Durbin, Hassan, King, Cortez Masto, Kaine, Shaheen, Rosen and Fetterman joined 52 Republicans in a procedural vote to reopen the government. Good chance government reopens soon.
